KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw State head men’s golf coach Jay Moseley and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics have announced the signing of Nicolai Von Dellingshausen to play for the Owls program, beginning in the fall of 2012.

"We are very excited to have Nicolai join our family at KSU, Moseley said. “He brings a great deal of golf talent, strong academics, and excellent character and leadership to our program.  Nicolai will be one of the top kids from all of Europe coming over to play college golf next year and he will have an instant impact on our team.”

Currently the 119th ranked amateur in Europe, including amongst European collegiate players, Dellingshausen will enter KSU having maintained a stroke average of 72.9 over his past 13 tournaments.

A champion of the 2011 Belgian Youth Championship (69-69), Nicolai also record top 20 finishes at both the German International Amateur and the German National Championship.

Dellingshausen also qualified for the Match Play at the British Boys Championship, one of the largest and toughest fields in all of Europe. Posting a 78-71, Nicolai finished 33rd out of 250 of the best European juniors.

Nicolai joins incoming freshman Carlos Segura of Malaga, Spain as the arriving class of 2012. The two will join an already talented squad of individuals.

“Along with Carlos, I am very excited about the future of our program,” Moseley said. “Both Carlos and Nicolai are great kids who are very talented and they are both very anxious to come over to compete as Owls and be outstanding ambassadors for KSU."
