KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State women’s soccer head coach Rob King was the first guest of the year on OwlTalk, the official podcast of Kennesaw State Athletics.

The weekly podcast is hosted by KSU Sports Information Director Mark Toma and is beginning it’s fourth year of audio interviews, information and commentary. This year’s initial podcast features King along with senior defender Bridgett Gaughan as they discuss the upcoming season.

King, who is the first Kennesaw State head coach to lead his team to an NCAA Division I postseason tournament, is the most frequent visitor to OwlTalk, having now made six appearances on the show, including the debut show in 2006.

“The podcast was a very good idea from the outset,” said King. “I enjoy being on the show with Mark (Toma) and Chris (Ward) and our program has really embraced the concept and what it can do to support the soccer program.”

The first show of the fourth season is an hour long and details King and Gaughan as they prepare for the 2009 season as the Owls look to reclaim the Atlantic Sun Conference title. Each in-depth interview is more than 20 minutes and gives listeners an inside look at the soccer team from both a player and coach perspective.

OwlTalk is recorded on Wednesday afternoons and can be heard online at www.ksuowls.com and can also be downloaded for free at iTunes. All three previous years of the show are also available for download at no cost at iTunes.

The second podcast will have first-year volleyball head coach Karen Weatherington as the featured guest as she previews the upcoming volleyball campaign.
