KENNESAW, Ga. - The Owls were represented by five of their new Track and Field signees at the Nike Outdoors Nationals on June 18-20.
The meet, which took place in Greensboro, NC, is a National Scholastic Sports Foundation Event which awards All-American Status to the top six finishers in all events.
Tremaine Grant led the group with a fifth place finish in the 400m hurdles, crossing the line with a time of 54.19, to take home All-American honors.
Grant also took tenth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.20.
Also on the track, Ethan Kasson placed 12th in the 200m dash with a time of 22.00, while also taking 12th in the 400m (48.08).
Off the track, Cameron Zeman finished in a 7-way tie for seventh, reaching a height of 1.95m.
On the women's side, Michelle Quimby finished in a tie for 13th in the pole vault, with a height of 3.49m, while recording a height of 1.59m in the high jump.
Naquia Williams represented the Owls recruits on the track for the women, finishing the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:06.65.
The five signees are a part of a strong 2009-'10 Owls recruiting class, which features several national ranked athletes.
