Ché Roth enters his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Kennesaw State Owls. Roth arrived at KSU after a successful two-year stint at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and after two seasons with the Owls he has quickly showed the high-energy attitude and drive that has made him an up-and-coming coach.

Roth is highly involved in numerous aspects of the Owls program, including practice sessions, scouting, local recruiting, student-athlete academic progress and this season he will also be spearheading many administrative responsibilities.

Before arriving at Kennesaw State, Roth served as assistant coach and Director of Basketball Operations for UMKC. During his two years with the Kangaroos, he helped guide the team to better than .700 winning percentage in Mid-Continent Conference games.

Before joining the UMKC staff, Roth spent three years as a student assistant coach at his alma mater, Washburn University, where his squad won three consecutive Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association championships.

In addition to his assistant coaching roles, Roth was selected as head coach for the United States 18 & Under team in the 2005 World Friendship Games in Amsterdam, where he led the USA to an 8-3 record and a silver medal against a 21-team field of countries.

In the past, Roth has worked coordinating summer camps and team community service projects. With the Owls, Roth will also help coordinate the team’s summer camp program, the Owls annual golf tournament, the 100 Club and will aid with all aspects of fundraising.

Roth, a native of Spring Hill, Kansas, is a graduate of Washburn University where he received a degree in Physical Education.
